The Inspiration
My inspiration for starting my spa came from my mother’s brave nine-year battle with cancer. She passed away at the very young age of 47. She adored visiting spas and being pampered. However, during her illness, she faced many challenges and was even confined to a wheelchair at times. Unfortunately, she encountered unwelcoming experiences at some spas because she no longer fit the typical mold of a spa customer. She was sometimes greeted by service professionals who were pretentious, self-serving and lacked experience or interest in serving a client with a terminal illness or special conditions.
I promised her that someday I would build my own spa and make it our mission to create a unique experience where every individual who walks through the door feels welcomed, respected, and appreciated, regardless of their body type, health, or income level. It required a lot of hard work, prayers and time for me as a single mom with no family to save the money to build it, but I finally created Julian Reese Spa in O’Fallon, Missouri, named after my twins, in honor of them for the sacrifices they made to allow their mom to do what I love and keep the promise I made to my mom, and the extraordinary, beautifully fearless, kind and exceptionally loving grandmother they never had the privilege to meet.
Our goal is to help everyone improve their well-being both inside and out through affordable services delivered with kindness and generosity.

I’ve seen a lot of different types of spas and salons during my almost 25 years in the beauty business and I felt it was time for something unique that clients deserved. So, I created a neutral and relaxed atmosphere with a vintage theme where it could feel like one’s visiting a welcoming friend and not a cold impersonal business. Our goal is to provide everyone with the opportunity to feel beautiful, so we offer our services at a more affordable price than our competitors. You can find Julian Reese Spa conveniently located in O’Fallon, Missouri 2900 Highway K near Highway N, in the Crossroads Plaza shopping center with our neighbors Step It Up Dance, Slyman Brothers, and X Golf.

About our owner
Rachel Gonzales
My reason for opening Julian Reese Spa is my desire to change the less than desirable opinions some may have about salons and spas and about the character of those that work within the beauty industry. I feel it is my traditional time-honored values that has given me longevity in the beauty business for over 25 years. I am honored to be caring for multiple generations within the families of so many of my loyal clients. I hope that I can make a difference in the beauty business by teaching the next generation of Estheticians, Hairstylists and Makeup Artists how to provide a service with strong character and professional ethics and to do so without greed or thinking about how much money they want to make off of that client but to only focus on the future of a relationship and bond between a client and their service provider. I personally feel it is a privilege for customers to choose to spend their time and money trusting me and my business or any business and many in the service industry have forgotten this important fact. I promise to never lose sight of what the true meaning of beauty is, to help others feel and look better inside and out with our talent /skills and always show kindness, generosity, and patience.
